Research Facilities
National Collection of Yeast Cultures (NCYC)
One of the largest yeast collections in the world, and provides strain data and expert knowledge
Molecular Analysis
Access to instruments and training, advice on metabolomic techniques, and training in basic data interpretation
Map Library
Comprises some 35,000 maps covering Norfolk and East Anglia, the British Isles and the World
Historical Collections
Over four centuries of botanical literature, and many landmark works in the history of plant science
High Performance Computing
Encompasses state-of-the-art computing and storage technology to accelerate the time to completion of large and complex calculations
Glasshouses and CERs
Glasshouses and controlled environment rooms are available, ranging in growing area from 2 to 8 square metres
Germplasm Resources Unit (GRU)
Provides a nationally unique resource, maintaining germplasm resources and associated information
Field Experimentation
The Field Experimentation team provides a bespoke service for field genetics and seed multiplication
Fermentation Lab
A containment level 2 facility with a range of large-scale bioreactors (15-200 litres) and downstream processing facilities
Entomology
Offers numerous services, including a low containment laboratory and glasshouse areas, training and supervision
