Many plant-based foods contain compounds that may have specific functions within our bodies to maintain health or prevent disease. Scientists are seeking to understand how certain bioactive compounds in foods can keep us healthy.
The Food Safety Centre utilises world-leading expertise on Norwich Research Park in the areas of food microbiology and food security. Expertise includes food authentication and bacterial food-borne pathogens.
