Chair of the Board of Trustees
Peter Innes is a great-great nephew of the original John Innes. He chairs the John Innes Foundation, which owns the JIC, TSL, Earlham and ancillary buildings and part of the AIP demise (it also part-funded the nursery). The foundation makes substantial grants to research and educational elements of the scientific programme park-wide. After a time in the army, Peter worked as an investment manager and, latterly, as a headhunter in Edinburgh. He now lives in Oxfordshire and in retirement recently completed an MSc. with distinction in local history at Lincoln College, Oxford. He's also trying his hand as a novelist and has just published his first book.
